Changes as simple as camera angle can disrupt the players' rhythm, as they are always adapting to new situations.
Once they land on higher ground, the perspective changes from bird's eye view to a side scroller. One minions hit springs, they are propelled into the air. The different camera angles also introduce scenarios in which players exercise their Flexibility thinking skills. Coordinating these quick hand-eye type movement requires players to think on their feet, transitioning between various types of evasive methods. Players must jump over low lying impediments, and roll under electric current obstructions. Obstacles like rockets and mines stand in the way, forcing players to move their minions left or right, with speed and dexterity. Players must demonstrate adaptive thinking strategies in order to achieve high scores. Gameplay moves very quickly, as the setting, obstacles and even camera perspective are constantly subject to change. This game is good for kids who need help with: FlexibilityĪdapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations, especially adapting to obstacles. The game features no inappropriate content and is recommended for children aged 6 and older. During races in which players run a particularly long distance, they have the chance to revive themselves after a crash with tokens they purchase from the Despicable Me: Minion Rush store. Players can change their minions, choosing from some of the more memorable characters from the movie. Bananas can also be used to purchase new powerups, as well as making their existing powerups stronger.
Bananas are strewn throughout the course and players must try to collect them to increase their score. Players must complete missions in to garner higher multipliers, which will ultimately get them higher scores. Players control a minion from the animated movie Despicable Me, and must avoid series of obstacles in order to complete game goals.
Despicable Me: Minion Rush is an infinite racer, similar to Temple Run.
